I looked around but I could not find any comparative. Is there anyone who can tell me if the Ryzen 1700 (NO X) consumes more, less or equal to a Intel I7 7700 (NON K)?

Both have a 65W TDP.

I would be interested to know the result in idle and at play (eg Ghost recon Wildlands).

Assuming no overclock and based on the comparison I've seen between 1800X and 7700K my best guesstimate is that the Intel rig (CPU plus motherboard) will draw slightly less power in idle but considerably more while gaming.
