I use the following front panel I/O card, which seems to have no circuit traces.
How can data and power be transmitted without traces?

You are right. On the other side are subtle traces covered with a solder mask. They can be seen from a particular angle in the light.
BTW, do you know why capacitors and ICs are used on this board?
