PC magazine trashes Everex gPC

I'm not really sure why, but it doesn't appear that the Everex box got a fair shake... it seems as they forgot that it costs just $200, all the software for it is free, it uses only 20W at idle, (40 load) and it still did everything it was supposed to.

It's marketed to the Web-savvy under-30 set, but unless you give it to someone who has a lot of time to learn the basic nuances of Linux (or at least how to install plug-ins on Firefox), I see the gPC as one of those PCs you buy as a gift for the holidays and return to the store in January.
Meh? Seems like the reviewer is focusing mostly on the OS... It is pretty expensive given the components compared to someone like d3ll, but that's because the OEM doesn't have the bulk purchasing power of dell. For a low power basic use computer it's hard to beat. Another computer will be a hundred or so more and cost twice as much to run per year, unless the person spends a few hundred more, and by then it's totally out of the ballpark in terms of comparisons.
