not sure if this has been requested yet, but here goes

I'm very interested in seeing a review/comparison of recommended power supplies for systems at different wattage levels.

Specifically, if I have (or am planning on building) a system that uses only 75 watts, which PS will give me the highest efficiency at that level? how about at 100watts, and 150 watts, and 200watts?

Power supplies that have the "80% efficient" rating are a good place to start, but one might be more efficient than others down low and another might be more efficient others up high, if you get my meaning.

the reason I ask, I have 3 systems, one uses about 40 watts, the next uses about 70watts, and my main system uses about 200 watts.

just swaping out PS that I have here I noticed on the 40 watt system, one of my PS was 8 watts higher than another....not a tremendous difference, but enough that I am glad I tested it out!

SPCR records the efficiency of all the power supplies it tests at various loads between 20% and 100%, all you have to do is find the PSU which is most efficient at the average power draw of your PC. Just from memory I would say the PSU that is most efficient at 75-200W is the Seasonic SS-300SFD (from 81.5% at 40W to 85% at 200W).
