Two 74 GB Raptor Hard Drives for sale.

These are 'Recertified' by the factory, warranty replacements for the new drives that failed after 8 months. The warranty on them is good until 07/2011. These should be as good as new. I assume they are empty. Cache is 8MB.

Retail list price is around $140.

I am asking $110 each or $200 for the pair. Buyer pays for shipping of their choice.

If this is the 8MB version, then does that mean it's the 2 platter version of the 74?

I did a bit of research on this as I didn't know either way. I found this by Anandtech.

It indicates these are the two platter version, both the WD740GD-00FLC0 model number, apparently what amounts to V2.0.

The newer version 74GB drives with 16MB cache are single platter designs based on the 150GB model platters.
