large quantities of sillicone fan mounts? only thing i can find is like 1 fans worth, for like 10 bucks.
the scythe universal retention kit, for less than 10 bucks?

Depending on fan size you would want either K6 or K8. They are sold in packs of 20 for approximately $.50 each.

Another pretty cheap choice is to get some from cooler-guys here -
http://www.coolerguys.com/rfanmntcc.html. With shipping it comes out to something under $2.00 per 4 pack - assuming you buy in bulk as stated. They're pretty decent(a little fragile on the ends) and very long..works with both open and closed flange.
