Take a look at the bottom two pictures on the second page. My question is, would it be possible to buy a power supply like this seperately from the case? Or even to make something like this from parts? I don't understand the finer details about power supplies, but I know that this is the type of power supply that I want. I tried following their link to ILAN electronics, who made the adapter they use, but the product info all looks like gibberish to me...Another advantage of having a fanless seperate power adapter is the reduced volume - this sound from this case is much like that from a video recorder whilst it is in standby mode. We like that.

Notebook-style power supply?
I'm working on my plans for building a mini-itx system to use as a set-top box, using an old stereo for the case... I saw this case review: http://www.mini-itx.com/reviews/2677R/ and one thing I really like about this case is the external power supply that they have.
Smiley,
I, too have been poking about the mini-itx site.
If you link over to their store, you'll find this:
http://www.mini-itx.com/store/default.asp?c=9#p67
The exact same PSU as used in the Cubids. They show it rated at 55W.
