best way to 7 volt a psu fan?

Post by damitamit2 » Thu Jan 09, 2003 4:49 pm

Hi, whats the safest (and simplest) way to 7 volt a psu fan?

I replaced the stock fan with a YS-tech silent, however its still too loud for my liking. Its currently running off the standard fan connector on the psu board.

Would just soldering a pot inline with one of the fan wires be ok? or resistors?

thanks
Amit
