Shorten power supply wiring?
Just ordered a new power supply. The specs say the wiring will be way longer than I need (500mm and my case is about the size of a matx case). Anybody ever shortened the wires on their power supply (particularly the ones leading to the m/b atx connector) and if so, how? Thanks much for any thoughts or experiences. Guess my main concern would be introducing electrical interference and would rather be safe than sorry.

I will see how it fits in there with the cables bundled up, first, then decide whether or not to try the uncrimp/recrimp idea at the connector; am not comfortable with messing around near the circuit board. The p/s is going into an old, smaller AT case (the m/b accepts an ATX p/s), it's very tight in there, and would like to avoid disruptions to airflow as much as possible, so that's why I was considering this.
Thanks for the suggestions.
