I plan on putting my Athlon T-bird 900 on a BioStar M7VIG uATX motherboard with a 512m RAM, NVIDIA TNT2 M64 AGP W/32MB, Intel Pro 10/100 NIC, and WD 40g 7200RPM hard drive and a Toshiba DVD SD-M1202. I want to put this into a small case with a 180w Small Factor power supply.

I'll be running Linux and only using this system for surfing, email, watching DVDs and listening to MP3s. No hard pushing of CPU. I have another system for that.

I want something that takes up less desk space and is doesn't make much noise.

... maybe. I had a similar system, with no graphics card but two floppies that would konk out if I used a 7v mod on any fans. But other than that it was happy.

So yes, I would say a strong Probably, assuming you don't actively try to kick the PSU in the teeth.

And if it doesn't work, you can always get a stronger PSU. Even in tiny formfactor cases, you can still wedge one in there if your optical drives are reasonably sized.
