A new one with lots of measurements of heatsink termperatures in an Enermax PSU run stock, fanless, with slow fan, in different positions, and with different covers. Some interesting results, especially regarding the question of directed "tunnel airflow" by using well-placed venting holes. Look in the ARTICLES section. Should provoke some discussion...

Yes indeed, your results were very interesting. One thing I would have liked to have seen is comparing temps with both lids (the covered one and the enermax one with the hole) to see if the covered one gave a better 'tunnel' effect as you describe. I mean, I run my enermax with my 92mm fan removed and the hole facing up. If it turns out the hole reduces the tunnel effect then I would try to cover it up, u see.
I should really try to get a temperature probe of some sort myself, doesn't need to be super duper accurate like you claim yours is mike but any suggestions? Maybe I should go hunt around radioshack since I need to go there anyway to get some cable to hook up my new subwoofer (without box) for testing.
