I'm building a new PC in a LiteOn FS020 case, so the case pressure will likely be negative. I e-mailed ExoticPC re ability of the 14dBa model to exhaust out of a neg-pressure case, and sure enough they advised me to get at least the 18dBa model instead. Same issue should apply to the logo-holes-blocked-off Antec Sonata as well.

Any thoughts? I suppose I can always add a side intake fan (like Swiftech did in their watercooled FS020) to equalize pressure. Kinda defeats the purpose of the 14dBa PSU, though..

undervolt 2 NMB intakes, and you've got quiet positive pressure.

Digitalix is right about 14 dBA and 18 dBA models.
There isn't whole lot of difference between the two models other than its noise level. In fact, SilenX PSU will be pointless if you are going to install other higher dBA fans.

Let me restate my recommendation to you, gbass01.
I discourage you from SilenX PSU altogether unless your other case fans will stay below 20 dBA.

i don't understand that, silenx ( peter ) was nice to me on the phone and it was a pleasure doing business, if I had to do it again, I would buy from silenx.

Peter also worked with me to ship a 400W 14dBA PSU to an APO address. I'm most appreciative for that, as well as the help and recommendations he gave me along the way. SilenX is tops in my book!
