pico psu power brick

Post by kevmccor » Fri Jun 11, 2010 6:09 am

I found this on ebay:
NEW 12V 10A Adapter Power Supply for LCD monitor 120W

Adapter Type:Replacement AC adapter(non-OEM)
Input Voltage: 100V-240VAC (50-60Hz)
Output Voltage: 12 Volts DC
Amperage: 10Amps
Power: 120W
DC Plus Dimension: 5.5mmX2.5mm

Will it work with a PicoPSU-90?

Thanks

sure, it will work!

but 120w is overkill for a PICO-90. You can find cheaper power bricks rated at 90w or 100w. For example, multi-plug/voltages power supplies for laptops.

Thanks. I thought that something over 12V 10A would be a problem and fry the picoPSU. I really don't know that much about electronics and I try to match specifications. Also, you have to get the connectors right if you don't like soldering. BTW, I read through many posts looking for education on this topic. I found some material, but nothing that just laid it out for dummies.
