Loud Rattling fan on my S12-430

Post by ChiBOY83 » Sun Aug 19, 2007 10:17 am

I have isolated the loud rattling noise that is clearly coming from a fan. I stopped my 3 yate loon fans, leaving only the fan in my Seasonic S12-430. The noise is a "relatively" loud rattle. It is by far the loudest component (the only other noise would be from the 2 low powered yate loons)

Anyone have any tips for fixing this?? And does seasonic RMA PSUs that are "loud." Has anyone had any experience RMA'ing to Seasonic. Id appreciate any help, this noise is bugging me big time

3000+ Venice, 512x2 Corsair XMS, xp-120 w/ yateloon 120 , yate loon 120 intake and exhaust(only intake is running), Abit AN8 SLI, Gigabyte 6600GT passive, dvd rw, Suspended Hitachi, slk3000b, s12 380

edit: My S12-430 is 2 years old

The USA/Canada RMA procedure doesn't exclude noisy fans.
It's worth contacting them and seing what they say.

Hope you're in the USA/Canada though. :)
