SilenX PSUs and temperatures

Post by halcyon » Mon Apr 28, 2003 3:59 am

Does the SilenX PSU get hot after several hours of use?

Have you noticed an increase in the long term (min. 4 hours of continuous use) case temperature after installing your SilenX PSU?

I've already been disappointed with the 120mm FSP300-60PN and I really want to know what I'll be getting, before I plunk down $140 for a PSU.

regards,
Halcyon

Heh, Sammy, I've gone from a Vantec Stealth 520watt PSU to the SilenX. Can't beleive they market the Vantec as a quiet PSU!

I haven't noticed my SilenX power supply get hot at all. Maybe slightly warm after long useage. This is with three CD drives and three hard drives to. I also haven't noticed any increase in my case temps.

Hey Radeonman,

*shrug* I liked my Asus 52x drive to much to take out when I got my Lite-On DVD drive. My Lite-On and Plextor CDRW drive are alot more noisy than my Asus CD drive to.

It's really great when installing games/programs with more than two CD's. :D
