this thing is indeed very quiet,
now, i need a quiet case fan: the zalman 92mm doesnt blend in the noise anymore
the zalman cpu fan i think 7000AL? on my p4 2.8 is very quiet at low speed, no clicking no noises.
the corsair hx520:
if outside the case, my ear within 1/2 meter i can hear an electronic/high frequency 'hissing', i attribute that to the fan moving. but doesnt bother me in the case, in my desk, it is very very quiet with the zalman 92mm off.
air out the back of the psu is luke-warm towards luke-cool... very nice efficiency
ambient is 27C (NY ... humid)
cpu is 36 idle
hdds 40
interestingly the UPS monitor has decreased in %load at idle, used to be 43%, now is 36%.
will need to do some cpu tester thingy to make sure my p4 wont suck all the 520watts out the psu
