Seasonic X 560 or Be Quiet! DPP 10 550

Post by Victor » Tue Dec 30, 2014 4:21 am

Hi again.

I'm having a last minute debate on which one to choose. First of all, is the Seasonic X 560 still available or is it discontinued? Is the 650W model the lowest power X series model now? I don't really need more than 500W on my build (i7 4790K + GTX 760 or 970 or maybe the 960 if it's that good + 1 SSD + 1 SSHD + 1 DVD Drive+ not more than 4 fans in total), but wonder how the X series hybrid cooling compares to BQ's acclaimed DP line.

I'm probably looking at a power load of 300-350 W based on calculations. Looking to get low noise, long life span and good cooling.

Also, how does a Corsair RM550 compare to the Seasonic and the BQ? Should I rather be looking at the BQ Straight Power 10 500W instead of the DP 550?

Thanks!

I have made a good experience with the BQ support, they send me a replacement unit in advance to replace a unit with a lowly sounding fan. TBH, that's been a few years ago, don't exactly remember which model i had back then.
