Hi,
I've tried to use the pw-200-m/v with some cheap amd socket 754 board plus athlon xp mobile and it doesnt work. Apparently there is some 'timing problem'. Thus I was wondering what boards this psu works with, i.e. what motherboards are compatible with the pw200 other than the itx boards. Thanks for any input,

Ant6n

I remember someone on SPCR having a similar problem with a Biostar Micro-ATX board.
Cant remember who though. Try some searching :)

Ant6n.....I had a problem with an MSI board and a PW-200. It would crash under load. The problem turned out to be a 12V input voltage drop. (I was using a battery to power it).

What exactly are the symptoms of your problem?

The symptom is that it won't post. But it does start with a picopsu120. It even starts with the pico when I add an extra geforce 7600 gs, so I believe it's not related to not enough juice. I contacted the people who sold me the pw200m, and got a replacement, but they told me it's a timing problem. They told me the board and the psu are not compatible. But I have not found any compatibility lists for the pw200m that includes amd boards, so i am asking what would work. I.e. what anybody here is using. (I could ditch the athlon mobile completely and go for p4, but then i'll have heat issues etc...)

Humm....Don't know about that. I've had several PICOs so far. They seem to be sensitive to the input voltage.....too high or too low and they won't post. The light on the PICO comes on, but nothing else happens when you hit the power button.

I had the same issue as you with the PW-200. The only solution that worked for me was moving to a PicoPSU.
