Well it seems like the modu82+ is not powerful enough to support the 4870x2. My computer refuses to boot-up with the setup, tried my friends TX750 Corsair and it ran fine . This misstep is delaying my whole completed build
Its too late for me to return the unit now and I'm stuck with it. I was taking a look at the website and saw that there is a duo and also solo pci-e modular cables. Perhaps a solo modular cable may do the trick because the end is not split into two 8pins but just one?
Any wanna trade a modu82+ for a 750 corsair or 750 pc p&c ? lol

I have this PSU, and its been absolutely fine with a 9600GT. It will depend on the hardware spec but from the reviews on the web it looks like 4870 X2 systems use around 200W of power at idle and about 400W under load. So there is no reason I can see why a working Enermax 625W could not supply enough power to a 4870 X2 setup and your PSU must be defective. It has a 3 year international warranty so you are not out of time and you should claim a replacement.
