also, how reliable are the Zalman power supplies? I just had my old power supply (Antec 350w) kamikaze on me after having it for less than a year. It took out my mother board and one hard drive with it...hoping to avoid that happening again.

APFC vs non PFC?
I'm looking for a new PS, hopefully a quiet one, and I'm thinking about either getting the Zalman 300w PS or the Fortron P300XFPN. I'm somewhat leaning towards the Fortron, mainly because it's $40+ cheaper than the Zalman. But I've read that the Fortron uses a non PFC system, and that non PFC power supplies aren't really recommended anymore. What's the downside of using nonPFC? is active pfc far superior? how do these PSU's compare noisewise?
