Powerful micro ATX PSU?

Post by owain_thomas » Thu Jul 10, 2003 10:03 am

I have just seen this Dign case, which looks great. The problem is that it only has space for a micro ATX PSU. Is it possible to get a >300W PSU of this size that's also quiet?

Are you sure that's a micro atx power supply? It looks like a standard atx to me, but it's hard to tell in those pics. And I've never seen a matx supply over 230 watt, and I think they may have been optimistic in that rating.

it's definitely a micro atx PSU, here's the dimensions from the sparkle site:

81.5x40.5x150mm

It's such a shame that they've crippled this beautiful case in this way :(

Supports Full ATX motherboard... But enough space for mATX PSU... LOL! :D

Seriously though, I think that the case is roomy enough to put a full size ATX PSU inside the case (NOT to the PSU mounts). Look at Pic #5 from the link that Owain posted.

Cheers,

Jan
