Looking for a psu as good or better than the x-560 help
Hi all
I am looking for a psu for my htpc system and was going to buy a seasonic x-560 but can not find any in the uk and I do own a x-650 and love it because it's silent so I though I would stick to the same brand but it seems very hard to find any seasonic psu here in the uk.
Don't know if these are getting sold of for newer models.
So the question is there a psu as good out there with the silence and build quality.
Cheers for any help

Hardwaresecrets has the best power supply reviews, but they do not say anything about noise levels. What they do tell you is who makes the PSUs that get re-branded by the big retail brand names. If you read around the site, you can find info about XFX and Corsair power supplies that are made by Seasonic. The Corsair TX750 V2 may be available in your region, but read around the site to find other Seasonic-made supplies that might be sold locally.meridius wrote:I would stick to the same brand but it seems very hard to find any seasonic psu here in the uk.

Check SPCR Recommended Power Supplies and see whats available to you. I would probably search if you could find a KINGWIN Lazer Platinum Series LZP-550 550W 80 PLUS PLATINUM, been getting really good reviews in the mayor hardware sites,
SPCR Kingwin Lazer Platinum 550W Power Supply
JonnyGuru Reviews - Kingwin Lazer Platinum 550W

Another decent in the same range is the Enermax Modu87+ 500W 80Plus Gold

or

..but they both have unknown ETA for stock, you might contact Scan to check wazzup
And a tad expensive, yes

Cheers all
I did contact scan and they have not had the 560 in stock for over 8 months. It's typical when u want to build a system.
I will look into the others
Just out of interest how good is the 760 sea sonic, I know it's overkill for a htpc but wanted to know if the fan does not kick in like the 650 model at low watts or is it even better
Thanks

In terms of efficiency, there really weren't any surprises there. Gold power supply did Gold. Film at eleven. And when did the fan turn on? Why, in test three, dear reader.
TEST3 461.4W/513.1W

Cheers for the link but I just bought the 760 I know it's over kill for a htpc but at least it's silent up to 400 watts which I will never use an d I know there top quality
The link above made the price £20 difference between the 560 and 760
