2 Choices which one?

Post by johnno73 » Fri Dec 02, 2011 6:19 am

Hi :)

I have just built a new rig:

2500K
Asus P8Z68-V/gem3
560ti
and stuff

I bought a Corsair TX650 V2 PSU and it was very noisy so I have sent it back.

Plenty of Googling has brought me here and I think I have narrowed down two PSU's that fit my budget.

Coolermaster Silent Pro M700W power supply

Antec TruePower New TP-750

I see the Coolermaster has 50a on the 12v rail and is older.

The Antec has multiple 12v rails but is a new product.

Anyway which is the better PSU? I may go SLI in the future, but I think it would be unlikely. The main think is to have a very quiet PSU when idling, surfing and watching films and stuff.

Cheers

This page shows that the Antec TP-750 is quieter at idle and up to 300+ watts:
