Rosewill Capstone Series

Post by skeeder » Wed Dec 28, 2011 9:45 am

after reading nightmares with the new TX650V2, I've started to look at options...my 380w psu sounds like a turbine when gaming (80mm fan does its best--despite being an antec).
I figured with Christmas being generous its now time to update the PSU...

However, that being said I'm the bang for your buck person. The person that buys the yateloons and undervolts them for silence vs the nexus fan.

I've looked at the Seasonic (what is up with them now days?), Coolermaster M600 (good but older), and stumbled onto a Rosewill Capstone series PSU.

Its got a GOLD rating, big fan, apparently its a superflower design...

Anyone heard anything regarding it?

650W for $89.99 shipped right now...

jonnyGURU reviewed the 750w version, http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?na ... y&reid=266 which seems to be a higher rated version of the 650. At that price, the only downside is maybe that it's not modular.
