Replacement for TX750

Post by cpaqf1 » Wed Dec 26, 2012 5:56 am

Hi there,

I'm currently making changes to my system to make it as quiet as possible and I'm almost done, the last step would be changing the PSU. Now, I'd buy the fanless Seasonic 520W since that's how much power my PC really needs but I find it too expensive on newegg.ca atm. What would be my other options ? I can get the coolermaster silent pro M2 850W for 87$ right now, the m700 for about 80$, the m2 720W for about the same too. Should I replace it with one of those ? or a different company ?

I currently have the first gen Corsair TX750, I can get close to 80$ for it so I'd like to keep the price of the new PSU under 100$ if possible.
thanks

EDIT : I'm guessing the SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze is a potential option aswell.

What exactly are you powering here?

Cooler Master Silent Pro M(1) was good (especially since it got cheap due to age), M2 has two different makers, still decent. M12II should be solid. Personal favourite is Nexus RX if you want value and silence.

A seasonic G series 550W might be worth considering if the cost of the fanless 520W turns you off.
