hi! long time no post here.
Well i changed my Athlon 64 3700+ S939 to an Opteron 180 on my Asus A8V-E SE recently. I had problems with XP crashing half of the time when it load stuff.
Now i formatted the hard disk and installed Windows 7 Ultimate, and i found recently that when it show the loading screen, it does a single "click/tick". The noise seem to come from the PSU.
The initial PSU inside is a Seasonic S12 430W, the 2nd revision of the PSU with sleeved cables and longer-lasting fan inside and better stats.
I was able to test with another PSU, which is an Antec TruePower Trio 550W, and it seem to do the same thing.
Now don't get me wrong, this click noise doesn't seem to crash my system or anything, i'm just wondering why this noise is happening now.
Have any clue?
