Hi everyone

I have the TX650 V2 and am looking to find a way to quiet down its fan. I have seen some people here have done this before but I have yet to see any thoughts on the actual technical aspect of it. Before I void my warranty, i just want to know what I'm getting into.

For those of you who've worked with this PSU, is cutting/soldering of wires absolutely necessary? Can i use the guide on this page to replace the PSU fan?

Thanks and Regards

If the fan uses a connector then yes, that guide can be followed. If however the fan is soldered on then you would have to use a soldering iron to make a good job. Even if you do replace the PSU as you'd prefer the G360 then I'd suggest you can still find some use for the old PSU or sell it to someone else who is happy with the noise/happy to do a fan swap. It would be a waste just to through it away I would think.

definitely finding a buyer. it's a good PSU to be honest - it's not so obnoxiously loud that I go crazy. I'm just too anal for this level of noise *laughs*
