I find the fan is rather loud, I "think" it is more of a turbulence noise. This is a really low load machine, a nas that idle 24/7.
Can I let it go passive(cut a larger hole) with a the 120mm fan blowing at it.
There is always pico psu, but that is extra cost and it may have a hard time powering all the hard drives.
Would cutting off the fan grill on the fsp 300w sfx help no?

dont know about your psu.... but a pico could power a dozen or more HDD's without an issue.

How many hdds? you can use Silverstone Tek Four-in-One SATA Power Connectors with Power Stabilizing Capacitors (CP06) or you can custom do your own like Modding Guide: Inline SATA Connectorsbaii wrote:would need a few splitters and that make me worry~xan_user wrote:dont know about your psu.... but a pico could power a dozen or more HDD's without an issue.

Well that looks hazardous. But if it works, it probably isn't.baii wrote:So I went overboard, now it look like that, have a arctic f9 pwm lying around

The fan is just wedged in there? I like it!
I would add some duct tape and a standard fan grill though. Safety first.
