Seasonic G360 died after 1 month!

Post by Radunor » Wed Jul 02, 2014 2:07 am

Today my pc didn't boot. Not a single beep or fan movement ... Yep The PSU is dead! The paperclicp trick confirmed it. All the other parts are still fully ok.

So the seasonic G360 lasted less than a month !!

That PSU was not a lucky number I guess. :-/
I'm good for a replacement under warranty.

Does it change my good perception about the G360? Well, No! I would still recommend it.
Just sad that this PSU is not modular or semi modular like its sister G450 :-/

Another lone data point here: I've had a G360 for at least 2 years and it's still going strong. On a 50-150 W load though.

I've installed three G360's over the last few months and they're all going strong.

its a decent, affordable PSU that has a few bad egss from time to time. but since seasonic has a great warranty department, its not really an issue.
risk vs. cost on the g360?; still worth it imo.
