EVGA SuperNOVA GS 550W vs. Corsair RM550x

Hi everybody! I just ordered almost all components for my mini itx config:

- CASE Fractal Design Node 304
- CPU Core i5-6500
- MB Asus Z170I-Pro Gaming
- COOLER Scythe Kotetsu
- FAN 2x Noctua NF-A9 PWM + 1x NF-A14 PWM
- RAM 16 GB DDR4 2133 MHz
- VGA MSI GTX 670
- HDD WD Caviar green 2 TB
- SSD OCZ 512 GB

And now I can't decide between these 2 PSU. It seems unlikely to receive annoying surprises from any of both but I would like to hear your opinions.
I know that 550W are far more than I could need but this seems to be the entry level threshold for finding a real quiet atx psu at reasonable price.
I just know that EVGA GS is an evolution from Seasonic G platform, which seems to be not so very loved from many users on this forum, but it has the great advantage to be only 150mm x 150mm, where the Corsair is 160mm x 150mm (it should fit my case anyway). And, according to some online review, is the quietest 550W psu around atm (the RM550x).
Considering less than 3 € of difference, which one would you take for a real quiet build (especially when in idle/low load)?

Of the two, I'd go with the Corsair. If it's in a similar price range, the be quiet! Straight Power 10 500CM is even better.

That be Quiet! is a very famous psu (even for a noob like me!), but I already discarded it because its cable inputs are in a odd vertical orientation, which could conflict with back of gpu. I looked around and seems nobody tried to fit it in a Node 304, and I don't want to be an alpha tester!
Another one I crossed out from my list was the EVGA G2 550W (always because of exceeding mm) but it's not a problem anymore: I've just ordered the RM550x!
Next days I'll try to post a complete log with my modest (but I hope silent) build, thx for the advice!

Please post if you were able to fit the rm550x on the node304 with the GPU, this would be the ideal pwu to recomiendo for tgis type of builds, personal y i dont think it will fit without some moddin on the psu bracket.

You're totally right, I found on another forum someone who already fitted the 650W version (same 550W dimensions) by just removing the holding bracket.

PS: I'll wait you on my future build thread when will be time for Asus FanXpert settings!

By removing that holding bracket, does that mean the PSU is not attached to the case at all?

This person fit one into a Core 500, which has the same measurements: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/PRr7YJ I can't tell what's going on from the pictures though.

Actually it is, but doesn't seems to be an issue at all, since many other people used this trick to accommodate >150mm psu in this case. They just wrap it all around with attached cables to keep everything in place.

Did you decide on a PSU? I'm in the same situation with the Core 500, that has the same restrictions on PSU size (I think). In addition to the two PSUs you mention, I'm looking at the Cooler Master V550. The fan runs all the time, but supposedly very low sound levels - and it's 140mm long.
