hey guys, i am thinking to get another power supply, i have a zalman 300w ZM300A-APF psu now, it works ok but i want to get something a bit quieter.
i narrow it down to 2 choices, Seasonic and SilentX 350w. the price on a SilentX is pretty good, within my budget. i also heard a lot of good things about Seasonic. it is a tough call, isnt it?
i tell you what i need. i have a little home studio, i record vocal for people all the time in the same room. my condensor microphone is really sensetive, it picks up noise anywhere from 1-15feet. i also use the computer heavily doing multi-tracking. i want to get something well balanced and noise is my main concern.

The Zalman is a nice PSU, but as you say it can be noisy. I've modified mine with a Panaflo L1A and it is very quiet now - runs at about 6 volts which is probably below 18dB. Well worth the money (Panaflos cost spare change) and the actual circuitry is top notch.
