The highest one I've seen is a firewire drive with 300gb, but it only runs at 5400rpm. He's also looking for relatively quiet and not extremely hot.
Western Digital isn't an option.

The only thing I don't like about it is that Hitachi gobbled up IBM, and I've still got the bad taste of 75GXP's (NOT going to buy drives from IBM/Hitachi, if I can help it).
