I read the following project/mod article with interest
Effective Passive HD Cooling
so does anyone know where I can buy the Aluminum channels used in the project? I live in SF Bay Area. If no specific recommendation for a store, then how about a 'type' of material? Aluminum window material? Sliding door material?

Thanks! Chris

I would think a home improvement type store would carry something like that. Home Depot, Lowes or similar. Maybe even a hardware store.

Yeah, home depot for sure. That's where I got mine. An 8' length of 5/8" x 5/8" cost me $11 CDN which is enough to do 2 HDs with double sidesinks.

Don't be afraid to cruise your phone book for Sheet Metal fabricators. They may even be willing to give you pieces of the size needed for a HDD sandwich out of their scrap bin.

If you have no luck locally you can also buy online. I've bought lots of stuff from McMaster-Carr Supply Company If you want it they've got it, and shipping cost isn't too bad either.
