HI,
has anyone heard one of these, how are they for noise compared to the seagates, or the other FDB drive, they are quiet cheap compared to the others at only £70 for a 60GB drive.
PS It's not for me, it's for a friend who's harddrive has just broken (I will probably wait out for the SATA Cuda V : )
Thanks again guys

Maxtor gives the specs as 2.5 Bels idle, and 3.5 seek. Compared to Seagate's stats of 2.5 idle and 3.3 seek for a Barracuda V. But with the Maxtor you can have 80Gigs with only a single platter, so that should help some.
My D740X is virtually silent after being S^3'd. So if the new drive is at least as quiet (and it may very well be even more so) it should be an attractive candidate.
