normal ide (not sata) with 8megcache
didnt think they make a drive like that, i want it
)
thought it was
sata = 8meg cache
parrell = 2meg
hope the price is reasonable...

You are right about the specs of the Barracuda V. I think the author of that review was confused. There is no 8 meg ata version.

I see you are right that there will be an 8 meg made in the future. But the drive in that review is a 2 meg. You can see from the model number (ST3120023A) in the photos and text that it is the 2 meg version.

the sandra hd mark is good, around what i got with a single wd 8meg i think
at college atm
i could be wrong tho, prolly am
could be a review special, prolly just have a 8meg vs a 2meg ram chip
sandra is easy too mess about with tho
as is any hd bench, spessily wid raid
