Will the hdd suffer in the long run if i suspend it upside down, i want it more centered in the airflow from the front.
I thought hanging the disk upide down by the bottom screwholes using "suspension tubes"* would make it cooler and quieter, as the standard disk mount in this chassie is 5 cm above the front air intake. So the disk is effectively out of the way of any moving air.
Will the disk die faster if mounted upside down?
*) Suspension tubes is an "invention" of mine, sort of a threaded soft rubber mount. Off topic for now, pics later.
