If the 4000 is indeed a reference to the biggest capacity of that family of drive, I would take it as an indication that they're using 800G platters or that they don't intend to manufacture 5-platters of that type. Either way, I don't think you'll see a 5T Deskstar on the market any time soon.

Hitachi stated in 2008 that it intended to have a 5TB drive on sale in 2010. This is now technically possible with 1TB platters, but I suspect for marketing reasons they will take their time about doing it.
