Seagate 2TB BarraCuda 5400 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Laptop Internal Hard Drive ST2000LM015
Thinnest and lightest 2.5-inch hard drive with up to 2TB storage in a 7mm z-height, providing seamless upgrades of thin and light laptops and smaller form factor systems.
Fast data rates of up to 140MB/s enables superior PC end-user experience and snappier file transfers.

some of the newegg reviews says it dies easily after 6 months.

i would think 1 platter would be more robust fewer parts to fail.

2tb of ssd is astronomical in price

2tb of the seagate 2.5" is around $90 with tax or shipping

its listed as 7mm does this mean single or double platter?

i prefer single platter as it is more quiet

how quiet is it? does it need a HD silencer?

how fast is it given 5400rpm
