High Pitched Beeping from Cuda PATA 7200.7?

I've noticed that sometimes my Cuda PATA 7200.7 (120GB 2MB Cache one), sometimes makes a really annoying constant high pitched beep noise. It's not really loud, but definitely alot louder than the idle whine. I can even hear it through a SmartDrive 2002.
It also makes a little chirp noise when it shuts off. Is this normal?
