Fan with Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme

Post by morgtom » Wed Dec 26, 2007 5:32 am

Hi, im about to buy a new Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme and im looking for a high static pressure fan that can push incredible airflow but can under volt very well so i can have a very quiet computer when im not overclocking.

So out of these 3 fans which would you recommend me?

Scythe Slip Stream Fan 1900rpm SY1225SL12SH
Scythe S-FLEXâ„¢ 12cm Case Fan 1600rpm
Scythe Ultra Kaze 120mm Fan 2000rpm

Or should i look for lower RPM fans?

Thanks for your help!

You should go for a lower RPM fan if you want it to be silent. Maximum 1200-1300 rpm at 12v like the Nexus or a Yate Loon

You could try the Noctua NF-P12. It's open post as well so it'll be fine with the TRUE mounting clips. 1300 rpm at 12V, highish static pressure.

A Slipstream fan @ 1000-1200 RPM at 12v should be good enough.
