Thermal compound application

Just a quick question:
Where should you apply thermal compound on the heatsink? I just put it on the area of the CPU that is slightly raised. Is this right?

AMD right? Yeah just on the centre raised bit - the core. Maybe take a look here: http://www.arcticsilver.com/arctic_silv ... ctions.htm its for arctic silver but applies to all paste really.
