Fan needed for Centurion 5 at funnel?

Post by Jackpine » Thu May 04, 2006 3:17 pm

I am wondering about whether to install an 80mm fan at the interface between the case side and the funnel which is more or less in line with the cpu/fan/heatsink. I have a Centurion 5 CAC-T05 US case, and am in the process of assembling all the components.

For that reason, I can't say whether this setup has any cooling problems or not. I just thought that while everything is still open and none of the cables have been installed yet, this might be a good time to add the fan.

Can anyone give me any advice please? Note: just below the funnel, there is a perforated grill in the case where a fan could also potentially be located.

Although my C5 has a window instead of the CAG, I would say you'll not need any fan on the side funnel. I even take out my front fan.

If you have a super-hot CPU, I think you'll be better off with an investment in good after market HSF. :)
