Ninja + Thermalright AM2 bolt thru?

Post by ghia » Sat Apr 11, 2009 5:34 am

Hi,

I'm going to upgrade my system and I'll be instaling a Ninja Plus rev. B on a C2D E8400 - intending on runing it fanless meaning very firmly secured -

Wich is the best/firmest mounting method:
- the Scythe UNIVERSAL RETENTION KIT "SCURK1" which I already own http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/acc/0 ... etail.html
or
- the bolts from the Thermalright LGA775 Bolt Thru kit on the original Scythe mounting bracket - push-pins removed off course-

Question and problem no.2: I can only find the Thermalright AM2 Bolt Thru kit... so are the AM2 bolts matching the ones in the LGA775 kit ???

Thanks in advance !!!

I believe you can't use the Thermalright AM2 bolt-through with Ninja. Since you aready have the SCURK, try that, it should work.
If you don't already have the Ninja, the Ninja2 is a better performer, worth the extra money IMO.
As for bolt-through, Scythe has a new solution: http://www.itdirect.ro/produse/detaliu/ ... _2723.html
