It's the right place to post.
Very few of the 1366 socket heatsinks we review use the original push-pins, mostly because they are not meant to be used that often -- ie installed & uninstalled -- and the aftermarket for coolers is driven by enthusiasts who seek much better solutions and multiple un/installations w/o issues. Mostly, enthusiast heatsinks have bolt-through-the-board mounting which assures high, consistent pressure on the interface between HS & CPU. 1366 socket CPUs are generally hot beasts which bemnefit from the improved mounting and large heatsinks associated with them.
One of the few 1366 coolers I can think of which combines a simpler top-access only mounting system and improved noise/cooling over stock is the Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 series. The Freezer 13 CO
, for example, should satisfy your needs.
