Cryorig C7 compact cooler

Post by Jotunn » Wed Oct 21, 2015 5:52 pm

I came across this while reading up on motherboards for a Mini ITX skylake build, and it caught my eye. It is apparently the exact size of the CPU keep out zone, with only a milimeter of protrusion on any side, measuring at 97mmx97mmx47mm (LxWxH). They claim that it is good for a CPU TDP of 100W, and the custom 92mm fan creates 32dbA at max speed. I would like to see this tested, because I feel that these claims are fairly bold. It also installs in much the same fashion as a Scythe Kozuti, just that it uses a backplate.

Interesting cooler, specially for a build with antec 110 that allows 47mm of height for cpu cooler clearance.

Would be interested to see if they submit a cooler to SPCR to test and see how it does vs the Kozuti.
