Can I use "NH-D15 Noctua" Cooler for my PC ?

Post by John2018 » Sun Aug 12, 2018 3:15 pm

Hi all

I have a 4-5 years old PC and the CPU fan started to make annoying noises... I tried to clean dust but it didn't help.

I decided that I want the replace it with a new one, and because quiet and quality is VERY important to me (and money is not a problem here) I think that the NH-D15 Noctua Cooler is what I really want!

The question is, will it fit to my PC ?

This is what I have:

1. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3.

2. CPU: Intel Core i7 4770 / 1150 Tray.

3. Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Black.

What do you say, does my PC have enough space inside for such a large cooler?

Does it fit to my Motherboard and to my CPU ?

I really hope so, please advice,
Thanks!

It should fit fine on the motherboard and the R4 will clear the height also. But there are other alternatives that will offer better value, like Scythe Mugen 5 or Thermlaright Macho Rev B, around $50 is where you get the most out of your money.
