Yeah it seems very limited or useless for computer cases: 15L/min, that's only 0.53 CFM.

you could build one of these with a large surface area so that it may become a bit more effective.... maybe a fireplace blower could be used, very large and if you were to move it slowly enough it'd be silent.

Has anyone thought about those ionic air fresheners from Sharper Image? Can their airflow be directed?

I wonder what that's about? Electrostatic speaker? Electrostatic air propulsion like ionizers? Interesting any way you slice it...
Still, I think that subwoofers seem like the practical technology: Easy to drive with common circuits, cheap, efficient. I wonder if very light check valves could be used instead of the 'jet' effect. Would allow for true air pumping, like for CPU. Probably possible with proper tuning.

It also adds 14 W of heat to the case. Even if placed externally that's non-negligable.
