ZALMAN 165 BRACKET

Post by MGP » Wed Jan 01, 2003 6:13 pm

hey everyone,

i am considering to use the zalman 165 fan bracket to cool a zalman zm80A-hp on a gainward gf4 ti 4600. the catch is that i have do not have sufficient space between the case's side panel and the gfx card and so i plan to use a Sanyo Denki (109P0812M701 / 12v / 0.09 amp / 80mm x 15mm / 20.13cfm / 2000rpm / 21dBA) fan for cooling. Unlike most fans like the trusty panaflo L1A, this fan is only 15 mm thick -- compared to 25mm -- and i think this would be a more practical solution. Does anyone know if its possible to install this fan on the 165 bracket? I know for sure that the newer Zalman 123 version only supports 25mm thick fans.

I hope that you have a grill opening!

Hello:

If there is barely room for the fan -- where will the air come from? I hope that you have a hole with a grill for it...otherwise it'll get noisier and not blow a whole lot.
