So, with the SLK now available at SVC, and myself planning to get one, I was caught with my pants down knowing barely anything about what is quiet in the 92mm arena. Just from a quick look around, I'm down to the PCP&C or the Vantec Stealth. Any thoughts, comments, or recommendations? It must run at 5v nearly inaudibly or as close to that as I can get.

P.S. the SLK 900 is out at SVC

Panaflow Low Speed http://www.pccasegear.com.au/prod16.htm FBA09A12L., 2100 RPM fan speed, 42.7 CFM air flow, 27.0 dBA noise level, though I've found is that the 80MM fans offer the best balance of static pressure, noise levels and airflow....
Vantec stealth is appranently bad as a range of *quiet* fans (have a look on the forums for ppl's opinions) , don't know much about PCP&C though..

Re: quiet 92mm fan?
DON'T get a Vantec Stealth, especially the 90mm! It says not to in the recommended fan list, and unfortunately I didn't see that before I bought it.Gxcad wrote:So, with the SLK now available at SVC, and myself planning to get one, I was caught with my pants down knowing barely anything about what is quiet in the 92mm arena. If you get the PC PnC and are planning to mount it to a case, get grommets from Silicon Acoustics.

It's doubtful that a low airflow 92mm will give any appreciable cooling improvement over a low airflow 80mm on the SLK900. It's not like the extra airflow will go cover the HS. See my post on this here - http://forums.silentpcreview.com//viewt ... =9403#9403
