Yate Loon 140mm fan starting voltage? "L" version
Does anyone know the measured starting voltage of the Yate Loon D14SL-12 and/or D14SM-12?
Is the D14SL-12 available from a US of A outlet?

Yes, if you mean an online retailer. Here at Jab-Tech: http://www.jab-tech.com/Yate-Loon-140mm ... -3594.htmlIs the D14SL-12 available from a US of A outlet?
I'm sorry I can not help you with your other question

Thanks for the try, but I'm looking for the SL, not the SM.regal196 wrote:Yes, if you mean an online retailer. Here at Jab-Tech: http://www.jab-tech.com/Yate-Loon-140mm ... -3594.html.Is the D14SL-12 available from a US of A outlet?
I have both the L and M versions.
The L version doesn't start anymore at 5 volts after 1.5 years (it started at 5v everytime when it was new). I always run it at 7v, and it always starts reliably. My version doesn't have tacho. My guess is that it runs at 600rpm at 5v and 750 at 7v.
The M version has tacho and starts at 5v everytime. I can slow it down (something like 700rpm If can remeber right).
I bought it from Silencio a year ago to make an experiment in a XP-90 with a
AMD64 3000+ overclocked to 2740Mhz at 1.58v. I concluded that a Yate Loon
92mm running at 1500rpm cools better the CPU than the 140mm at 1200rpm
because of more air pressure and a smaller dead spot (and it's quieter too).
Of course this would be different in a 120mm or 140mm sized heatsink.
I must say I like 140mm fans, but I use them as case fans.
